English Essay
The Student Life
The grand building of tomorrow is based on the
strong foundation of today. So, student life is one of the periods to make
one's career ever shining and bright. It is the time for utilizing every time,
second and minute carefully by them. Since it is believed that man is
imaginative, we have to try to be sincere, laborious and hard working. Our
serious imagination for our bright future and career and to apply, it is needed
to keep a certain target. If we try whole-heartedly, there is no dream which
can't be fulfilled in human life. Students should think about future, don't
repent of the past but always try to make the present better.
It
is time to make one's future. A good student is he who utilizes each and every
second, who utilizes time in reading and writing, creativity activity. Creativity,
sincerity, obediency and discipline are the symbols of good students. Good
students fullfill all their duties honestly. He is attentive to his teachers and
obeys instructions and follows them. He believes not in mere inversion but
brings it in his practical life. He consideres "Good books are life and
blood of a scholar".
But
it is a matter of sorrow that nowadays many young students are being exploited
by different factors for fulfilling their terrific demands and desires. These
factors lead them to turn towards hooliganism. The ultimate results of such
activities are destruction. So we should be honest and discipline and we should
do what is good for our career.
Those who are guided by faulty promises
repent later. Gone days never come back. Good students should be careful about
the effects of such activities which finally spoil even better one.
At present, it is very difficult to find proper
guidance to them to build their bright future. The government should introduce
system of technical education so that the student may not be frustrated after
getting degrees. The system of education should be based on the requirement of
job market. It is the demand of time to have education system hand in hand with
the objectives of scientific and social change. Thus, in not least one can say that a student is
himself/herself fully responsible for his/her bright future. "As he sows so
will he reap." It is, indeed, a golden period of life.
The Value of Time
Time is very important for everyone in every
step of life. Man who has a various role to play in his life can make him
important when he can use time properly. Time and tide comes once but waits for
none. If anyone utilizes the time for them it is significant. Time brings
changes. A baby looks very inocent when he grows up, in course of time he becomes
sad when he becomes old. Time has controlled the universe. Everyone won't
achieve his aim in life. But it is important to use time properly to achieve
our set goals.
Time
is very important for the students who are under training to solve their
complications in life for better achievements because they've to perform many
duties and responsibilities in the future. They are given homework which is
needed to be completed by them. The students fail in the exam when they miss
their classes. A failure student can't cope with his time and can never compete
with those who are found to utilize it. Every moment of time is important. So,
a person can be a bonafide citizen in future if he gives due respect to time.
Many
countries in comparison of ours are developed. They are progressing because
they are using time properly. Even a moment should not be unnecessarily misused
or wasted that never comes again. Though it has 3 periods, present, past and
future. We should try to utilize present time to make future then only fruitful
progress can be achieved. It is clear that tomorrow will never come in our
life. Time is a precious diamond. We need to pay high respect for every second
of time. It leads towards a successful life otherwise life will be suffered and
the day will be spent for repenting throughout our likes regarding gone days.
Time
is not waiting for anyone. It is moving. It doesn't wait for anyone. If anyone
holds or understands or gives due respect to time then only one can help himself.
Even a second is very important. If anyone loses a second she/ he will loses
hours and days. So, it is rightly said what you want to do today, do at
present. Those who can understand it can gain success in life.
Finally,
it is important for all sectors, especially for students, to realize that
proper utilization of time is very important. Every moment can help a students
to mould his heart, his life into desired shape. So, to be successful, to be a great,
it is very important to give due respect to time.
My Aim of Life
Man is a social animal. It is believed that
"Man is Super Crown Creature of the
creation". It is believed aim is set for our bright career that keeps a certain
target to be fulfilled. It is said, ship without anchor and aim without life is
useless.
Every
person has a certain aim in his life and should be fulfilled to make future
bright. Without aim and plan nothing can be successful. One has to fix clearly one's
target. Only being overambitious doesn't help to achieve one's target. One has
to work hard for fulfillment of one's goal. Our labour, sincerity and devotion
should be rightly directed. It's only the outcome of hard work of any one's
which finally, enables to get achievement.
As
a true and responsible citizen of a country, I have thought to serve nation as
my aim of life. To be called oneself as a good citizen everyone has to take
part actively in serving the nation. One can serve the nation in many ways.
Nation can be served by being a doctor, politician, tailor and butcher etc. To
relieve one's country from pain is duty of everyone.
I
have chosen to be a doctor and serve humanity as my aim of life. Our country Nepal
is very poor where people are dying of diseases that seem to be common. Many
people have to lose their life by being victim of many diseases. There are many
remote villages in our city where people aren't even getting facilities of small
health care. The inhabitants of such outlying areas have not even seen the face
of a doctor.
The
man is considered to be great only when he is able to share the pains and
sorrows with others. It is only doctors who can share the pains and sorrows of
people to be free from diseases as well as to make them healthy. Being a doctor
one can serve society, nation and the whole mankind because only a healthy
person can serve and help to up lift the country.
It
is good to lead one's life for own self but to lead one's life for others is the
best of all virtues. Doctor is a profession which is full of respect and services.
It provides self commitment to one who has accepted it. It is a job which does
not only help to be self - reliant but equally helps one to be self helpful.
Hence, at last, doctor's profession is the best one to be my aim of life.
Patriotism
Patriotism means to love one's country, people
and to defend it. The land where we are born is dearer than life of ours. It is
rightly said motherland and mother are greater than heaven. Mother brings us into
the world and motherland rears us. So it is greater than our lives. It is a noble
dealing of our to be patriot that fills our hearts with proudness.
The
achievement of country's glory inspires us. Whenever we see our national flag hoasted
our head is held high and we feel proud, we cheer, and if it bows we lose or
country and become ready to defend our country at any cost. To safeguard
national pride, we don't even hesitate to sacrifice our lives. We are proud of
Amar Singh Thapa, Dharmabhakta and Balbhadra, who sacrificed their lives for
national independence and its unification.
A true patriot always thinks for betterment
of his country and people. He keeps national interest above his personal one
but a false patriot looks towards his personal interest. But, on the other hand
a true patriot has a selfless character. He is the true son of a nation.
Patriotism is to love one's country but it
doesn't mean to hate the rest of the world. It is the age of international brotherhood.
We are living together within an international family. We have to think about
welfare of mankind. Wherever people is suffering, a true patriot shouldn't show
his personal joy. He has to try his best to save human race. It is because of
globalization, and patriotism.
We, Nepalese, extremely need a feeling of patriotism.
Being the second poorest country of the world, if we don't think for
development of our country, we will certainly fall behind the developed
countries. All the citizens including politicians, pilots, social workers,
engineers students etc. should show and possess a feeling of selflessness.
Those who are selfish and are always living for themselves are also needed to change
their attitude towards country and show their extreme love for the nation.
Finally, patriotism in a true and broad sense
is indeed marvelous. As a result of the sacrifices of patriots, a country can
develop in no time and become self sustained. We can make the life of all
people happy and we can preserve our pride by way of true patriotirc feelings.
Thus, a true citizen of a country must be a true patriot.
The Spring Season
Every season has its own importance. Summer
has its burning hot, winter has shivering cold but I like most the spring
season for its beauty which gives joy and pleasure. Even a stone heart can be
melted by its beauty in this season.
It is said, "The spring is the queen of
all. It provides enormous joy and happiness to everyone." Barren and uncultivated grounds turn like a bride in red
garment. Trees shading brings for the new buds. Bees and butterflies dance and
it is made pleasant by the song of cuckoo. Pretty cold disappears and everywhere
moderate climate is seen. Rivers look transparent where fishes dance and
attracts everyone. In such a beautiful scene all the people enjoy this season
and so do I.
Seeing the beauty of spring, many great poets
composed their poem in praise of the spring. Shakespeare, Milton, Johnson all
they described its beauty in their poems. It is the season of affection and
love. It is a meeting place in the grass of the garden.
It is also said that this season is the best
for getting marriage. It is the holy season too because Lord Ram's incarnation
was held this season. The most precious puja for students also fall on this
season.
Finally, this season is the symbol of joy,
pleasure, happiness, beauty and love and the whole nature looks beautiful and
everyone likes this season very much.
My Village
My village is situated near Rajbiraj which is
in Sagarmatha zone. It is situated near Belka jungle. It is said that before
200 years there was no sign of living but now half part of the area is covered
with human settlement. In my village two rivers flow towards the south. They
are the Bagmati and the Karnali. By the help of these rivers, farms are
irrigated and farmers grow crops. Most houses are built with straw, bamboo,
clay etc. It has introduced planned schemes so that wide road can be seen here.
We have beautiful scene and scenery. Mango, lichee, jackfruit trees can be seen
in plenty of numbers. It looks like heaven in a small plot of land.
My village has many facilities like two high
school, one college, health post and small market area. 90% people are literate
in the village. They are involved in different occupation but most of the people
are involved in agriculture. If electricity, pipe water and transport
facilities are available, it will be lovely place for everyone.
In my village people are divided into
different castes but all they live in peace and harmony. Muslims and Hindus
both celebrate Dashain and Id.
This is a unique character of my village. All the people help each other for
the unity of the village and to preserve the culture of our society.
Finally, after my higher education, I would
go to my village to serve poor, helpless people because I like it very much.
Educational Value of Travelling
Travelling
is one of the most delightful experiences of mankind. From time immemorial,
travelling plays an important role to increase knowledge skills. In traveling,
people visit different places of the world. Seeing importance of travelling a
curriculum has enacted to highlight its importance.
In Nepal , unfortunately it is not so
much encouraged. We don't like sending child to different places and to
increase knowledge because of our ignorance and poor economy. But in history we
read Araniko, Buddha Travelled different places. It was because of travelling
that Sidhartha became 'Buddha'.
Travelling can be made both inside and
outside the country. It is a very powerful means of knowledge. It provides
experience and teaches us how to bring our knowledge in practical use. It helps
to increase tact, firmness, increasing personality development and it helps in lively
conversation to adjust oneself in difficult situation. It gives practical
knowledge and enriches our knowledge with different experiences.
In absence of travelling even an educated
person's way of thinking, outlook cannot be broadened. The diffect art,
architecture, life style, culture can be watched and experienced in travelling.
It is undoubtedly source of knowledge, joy, pleasure and experiences. So it is
important for everyone.
To get theoretical knowledge in classroom can
be boring. Historical places like; Hanuman Dhoka, Patan Darbar Square etc. should be
visited. By the means of science and technology we can conserve different
cultural heritages. Cultural and natural heritages are the sources of
travelling. People from distant parts visit one place to another to see, watch
and to experience the beautiful creation of human beings and nature.
Finally, travelling is very important for all
sectors of the people to increase knowledge and it is needed to encourage in
our life.
Local Festival: Gai Jatra
Gaijatra is one of the local festivals which
is celebrated with great zeal and happiness. It falls during Bhadra and
Children are found disguising themselves in the form of cows to move from
street to street. It is very popular in Newari community. They make what it merriment
and return home with charity what is given to them.
There are different stories regarding this
Jatra. It is said that a queen lost her son, so, to make her happy people
disguised themselves and made the queen happy through their peculiar appearances.
In other story, if anyone dies then to go across Baitadi river without any
problem, the Jatra is marked. To rest the departed soul in heaven, people
disguise themselves in this occasion. Whatever the story it has, the valley marks
Gaijatra for fun and joy with great zeal and enthusiasm.
In Katmandu
valley the Jatra is celebrated in different ways. In Katmandu the man who disguises, themselves as
a cow wears a cap having two horns. They beat and drag broken utensils in a group.
But in Bhaktapur the cap is placed on the top of the basket.
During this, the disguised persons move from place
to place following a mass with a band of people and reach in front of door where
they are provided milk, bread, fruits etc. Even one year child is carried on the
shoulder of man during the festival. In the evening people displaye Lakhe
dance. It is believed that lakhe is form of "Rakheshyas" or
"Demon" and dies on Krishnasthami Day. The dance gives full
entertainment to the people.
Forest in Nepal
Years ago, most of the land of Nepal
was covered with forest but due to population growth people have started to
clear the jungle for various purposes like cultivation settlement. Even today
29% of land is covered with jungle. It has been decreasing in its shape and
size day by day.
But
the present position of forest in Nepal is not incouraging. The main
reason for its destruction is human activities. They clear the forest to get
firewood, timber, cultivation etc. Due to this reason, natural balance is
disturbed. As a result, flood, soil erosion, famine are common in Nepal .
The fertile land is decreasing. Due to the destruction of forest, many citizens
are in trouble and even not getting drinking water. Once 60% land of country
was occupied with jungle. But now it is decreased upto 29% only.
Finally,
it is needed to be saved through education and awareness. We can make people
aware and encourage for plantation of sapling. It is high time to protect
forest which can make natural balance and at last to save ever the mankind.
My Favorite Book
Books are treasure of knowledge. They are
most valuable in the world. It has priceless treasure which can't be snatched
by anyone, never divided and stolen. I have read a number of books but I like
"Muna Madan" written by Laxmi Pd. Devkota.
'Muna Madan' is a story of Muna and Madan. It
is a love story book like Laila Majnu. Madan, due to his poor economic
condition, was forced to go to Tibet
to earn money. After a few years, when he was returning home with his friends,
he got fever on the way and his friend left him there to die. Fortunately, he
was met by a local person. He was cared, treated and at last his life was saved. Madan touched his feet and said, "Man
can be a great not on the basis of caste but on the basis of his
behaviour." He further said, "Food can't be sweet without
hunger." The poem is composed in such a melody that anyone can shade tears
while reading it. His friend told his wife Muna that Madan died on the way while
he was returning home. She couldn't tolerate this sad news and died, before
Madan returned home. In her absence, he sang tragedy song and later the story I
was completed.
The book, though, based on tragedy, gives
many important lessons to people. It removes distance between rich and poor. It
removes the feeling of racial discrimination. He also said, "The great
thing in society is to serve others". By serving others we can feel
satisfaction and pleasure. Our thinking should above personal interest. We
should devote to help and serve mankind which finally justify to be human
being.
Finally, not more than 10 times I went
through the poem. But it always looks interesting. I'm proud of the book and can
never forget "Muna Madan."
A Visit to a Historical Place
Places
are important for different reasons. Some are important for history, some for
religion and some for cultural heritage. Bhaktapur, which lies in Kathmandu valley, is very important from historical point
of view as well as religious and industrial. A few months ago our bus drove
towards Bhaktpur and stopped near Darbar
Square . An educational tour was managed by our
school and I got an opportunity to visit such a historical place.
We visited first of all palace, Durbar Square where
we watched many temples but specially national art galory. We quenched our
thirst of knowledge seeing art, picture and sculpture of 55 windows and
inscription of different things of different periods. The palace is built by
Bhupatindra Malla and inside the palace there were many courtyards, temples and
monuments. The famous temple
of Taleju was there.
Anyone can be impressed with the beautiful
art and architecture of the palace. When we were inside the palace, we saw some
hole in the wall and our guide, madam Runce, explained that the hole was made
by a bullet when there was a fight between Ranjit Malla and P.N.Shah. During
our visit we saw the famous temple. Nyatapol. It is a three storyed temple. We
visited Dattatreya and around the city. The lanes and streets were very clean.
Most of the inhabitants of city were found helpful. Garbages from school,
campus, government offices, houses and some industries were managed properly.
It was famous for preserving our historical art and culture and wastage
management.
Bhaktapur palace is famous as centre of
typical Newari architecture with various cultural and religious values. The Malla Palace
is wonderful model of the Nepalese art and architecture. The different temples
are needed to be renovated. Every thousands of foreign tourists pay visit to
observe its art, cultures and architecture. So it should be made for attractive
to attract them.
Finally, I'm proud of visiting such a
historical place. Nowadays municipality, government are also paying attention
to develop the city and to preserve glory of our past. If I got an opportunity,
I would like to visit again and again to such a historical place.
Co- education
Where
boys and girls are taught, trained together in the same institution is called
co – education. They sit in class and they get education together.
Co-education
helps to know boys and girls each other and it also helps to understand each
others problem. In Nepal ,
females occupy nearly 50% of the total population. So, they should be treated equally
to impart education.
Co – education is the symbol of equality
where both sexes are treated without any discrimination. They ate equally
encouraged. Both they are important wheels of the society and such education
helps to build confidence to each other.
It has some negative impact too. Sometimes
girls and boys are attracted towards opposite sex in a young age. This is the
time to build their career, but they think negatively, which harms them as well
as their future.
Mostly in towns we can find co – education; but
in villages, people are narrow minded, they think that daughters have to go to
other's home. So they don't like to send their daughters to school. The school
where co-education is available, both sons and daughters are equally treated
and given education without any discrimination.
Inspite of the problem, co-education should
be encouraged to impart, education to understand each other as well as to advocate
gender equality, progress and for women empowerment.
Rivers in Nepal
Water resources is one of the important
factors among 5 elements which are essential for our life. So, the life of
anybody can't be imagined without water. We have a large number of rivers and most
of them are originated from the Himalayas . In the
eastern part of our country, the Saptakoshi river flows, which is composed of seven
tributers: Indrawati, Sunkoshi, Tamakoshi, Dudhkoshi, Likhu, Tamar, Arun.
Gandaki which has 7 tributaries flows in the middle of the country. The Karnali
is famous in west. Besides these Mahakali, Babai, Rapti, Bagmati, Karnali,
Bhadramati, Vishnumati, Rudramati etc are the important revers of Nepal .
All these rivers have vast masses of water which need to be utilized.
Due to the destruction of forest, many rivers
are endangered. Landslides and floods are caused due to deforestation. So,
rivers become sorrow because many houses, cultivated lands, cattle are being
flooded and million of rupees washed away every year.
Finally, Nepal , though it is rich in vast
natural resources, river is one of the important natural resources of our country.
There can be no other way out except generating water resources of Nepal
and to develop its economy to raise the living standard of people. It can be
used for irrigation to cultivate land. I am sure we can develop our country by
using rivers like other developed countries.
Modern Science
Present
age is the age of science. The effect of science is great. The life of human
being is affected by it. It has made man as "super crown creature" of
all creatures. The impossible things of past have become possible in the present
with the help of science. Science has become part and parcel in every step of
human beings.
Science
is a true helper to man. With the help of it, men have been able to conquer the
nature. It has provided happiness by giving various comforts and luxuries. It
is due to science, time and distances have become shorter and shorter. It has lots
of importance at present age because in this modern age man can travel 1000 km either
by land or water within a few hours. There is no danger of losing life and
property by robbers and wild animals even though we travel through jungle and
mountain.
Science has played tremendous efforts to
provide services to them. Due to modern science people are able to use computer
and help to develop different programmer in the field of medicine, energy,
space, environmental conservation and so on.
Due to invention of atomic bomb, weapons it
has raised the question for human existence. Discovery of new things are making
people slave and incompetent. Its negative sides should be minimized and used
for the betterment of living beings.
In
this way, we can see that modern science has brought revolution in human life
style. It is the effects of discoveries of modern science, and its success depends
upon us on the right use of it.
Female Education
The
history of progress of human race is the history of education. Hence, it is
necessary for every person, man or woman to be educated equally. Females occupies
half of the population and they should be educated at any cost.
Female,
being an important part of human society, should be given equal rights, but it
is only exercised by male in our society,. Female education has been emphasized
even by a great person like Napoleon Bonaparte of France. He said, "The
progress of motherland is impossible without trained and educated
mothers." The illiteracy of women in any country, ultimately helps to fall
behind of development and progress of females as well as society.
A
woman serves nation by playing 3 distinct roles in course of her life. A girl serves
as a daughter, mother and sister. A girl who performs all her duties turns into
a perfect woman one day. A man having an educated wife can share his thoughts
with her and seek her advice when he finds himself in trouble. He can spend his
leisure time as a good company. An educated woman will be a good friend, a
clever nurse, a useful adviser and true mate. A mother can make an impression
in the mind of her child to grow into a good citizen of a country.
But in our society, females are deprived from
their fundamental rights, they are confined at the pheriphny of home where they
spend life to rear children. People are against their education, freedom, equality
and women empowerment. But without their proper education, human beings can not
be progressed.
Thus,
female brings an inseparable part of bright career for the whole mankind and
she can help any society to progress in right direction. So, female education
is very important for mainkind.
Wonder of science
Science is a great blessing to mankind. The
world into which it came was a world of ignorants. Science has come to relieve
us from suffering and to remove our ignorance. Modern age is the age of science.
We are amazed of seeing development of science.
Human is the best creature of God. Human can
think about right and wrong. Human is the source of imagination. Human can
think from flying birds to aeroplanes and aeroplanes to rocket and all are invented
by humans. People invented machines like computer, aeroplane, car so on.
Science
is able to bring change in the field of cultural, religions and feelings of
people. Science is able to remove black curtains from the eye of the people. It
helps us to think reasonably.
Science
has given good and bad effects to the people. Human is the inventor of many
more things in the world. Human has also invented bombs which was once dropped
on Hiroshima of Japan. It is a negative impact of science.
Lastly,
if people utilize science properly it will progress our society. Otherwise, science
will be responsible for 3rd world war and whole human race, its
creation will be destroyed in no time.
Discipline
Discipline
in brief means to abide by rules, regulations and to control oneself. In
another word, discipline means perfect obedience to external authority. The
very essence of discipline is obedience to rules and to be guided by others, to
pay due regards to elders and to obey them, to behave with them in orderly manners.
The word 'deci' and 'ple', means learner by a teacher. It is an important factor
which plays a vital role to mould one's character and make one to acquire destination
by controlling oneself.
Discipline
is strictly enforced in military and police. It is very essential in
educational institutions. If there is no discipline, there will be chaos and
disorder in every where. Everything would be topsy and turvey. No progress will
be achieved without it.
The
outcome of success is due to discipline. Parents' obedience is the first lesson
of it and helps how to respect, how to conduct, how to distinguish between
right and wrong. Freedom is not only free from external control but self
control too. Liberty
consists of self control and without it, liberty cannot last for a long time.
Discipline is the most important to lead our
life towards success. Without discipline no one can reach on the top of Everest.
But it is every very hard to cope with it. If we follow discipline, we will
achieve success in our life.
It is discipline which helps everyone to be
successful like great personalities of the world. Success of any one only comes
after discipline.
Finally, without discipline we can never
taste success, progress and happiness. So, we have to try to follow discipline
to make ourselves successful in every step of our life.
Student and Discipline
The word 'student' has its spiritual meaning.
This meaning becomes incomplete in absence of discipline. Discipline in brief
means maintenance of good and desirable habits. In another word 'discipline'
means perfect obedience to an external aurthority. The very essence of
discipline is obedience to rules, to be guided by others, to pay due regards to
elders and seniors and to behave with them in an ordinary manner. Since
discipline is a factor that plays a vital role to achieve one's goal of life.
It is very essential for students. The absence of discipline makes student's
life rackless.
It
is the time to save our future. A good student is he who utilizes each and
every second in reading and writing and creating of his own ability, punctuality,
sincerity and obedience. Discipline is the symbol of a good student. A good
student does each and every work in a discipline manner. He is sincere and
devoted towards his own duty. He is attentive to listen to his teachers, to
obey and follow them. He believes not mere in vision but implement the vision in
his practical life.
Those
who are committed by false promises get nothing and never stand back. A good
student should know happening around him but shouldn't be involved in wrong
activities. His best duty is to read and write with devotion. Such students can
only taste success.
Not a single student has got success without
discipline. He gives value and importance to time. He is well behaved and
manared. Such a student is admirable and respected.
But today students are avoiding discipline.
As a result they are falling behind and not getting proper progress. Such a
thing is causing frustration and unsuccess in the life.
For the students, discipline is inseparable.
It is the discipline which makes students to achieve success in life. So, at no
cost discipline should not be neglected.
Scientific Discoveries: Use and Misuse
Today
what is seen was only imagined by science and we are able to live proudly in
the 21st century. The scientific discoveries have done miracles in
the different aspects of human lives.
Today due to science and its discoveries our
work is being made easier and more comfortable. Due to scientific equipments we
can do a lot of work at no time. Scientific equipments are used in different
fields like health, education, transportation etc. All the discoveries which
are used are the gifts of science. Without scientific discoveries, we can't
progress and a country can't progress at all.
Each and every thing is based on the
discoveries of science. Due to science we can get different entertainments like
various types of songs and music. We are able to watch live telecast of world
events which is held in different parts of the world by just sitting at one
corner in front of TV screen.
Electricity is a miracle. It changes dark
night into clear days. It helps to run industries and different machines. It
helps to conserve environment and to control pollution. It has given valuable
gifts in the field of medical and surgery.
Nowadays any part of human body is not hidden from medical science. Computer
is another boon of science which makes things easy.
Finally, science has created a large number
of weapons like: gun, bombs etc. Those things must be removed from the earth to
safe guard human beings. It is science which helps us to raise our living
standard. It is science which has converted the world into a small family. Due
to discoveries of science we have been progressing day by day.
Bhanu Bhakta
Poets are rarely born in this selfish and
coloured world; but when they are born they become glorious and make a golden
history with their name. Bhanubhakta was born in Ramgha in Tanahu district in
1871 B.S. and shone all over Nepal
as his name 'Bhanu'.
Bhanu
was the first poet who wrote poem in Nepali and was regarded as 'Adhikavi'.
Though he was born in a small place, he touched and felt the whole world by his
internal feelings. As we know that every great man is inspired by someone,
likewise, Bhanu Bhakta was inspired by a grasscutter. He said that he wanted to
dig a well for the welfare of people, then Bhanu Bhakta thought to take his
name above line of Sagarmatha and translated Snskrit Ramayan. Especially in typical
Nepali language he wrote the Ramayana as a result it made him famous in Nepal .
He
wrote many poems except the 'Ramayan'. He wrote 'Badhu Siksha' 'Prasnottar' 'which
gave broad knowledge to us. He also described Katmandu and Balaju about their natural beauties
in his poems. In the descriptin of his book, Katmandu and Balaju are named as 'Kantipur
Barman' and 'Balaju Barman'. He said, Katmandu
is the piece sof heaven.
We
know every man is mortal. One who comes to earth has to leave one day. Likewise
he also left us. Bhanu united our nation with Nepali language. He's
contribution is as great as P.N. Shah. On Ashad 29 he died. And we respect him
presenting garland on his peaceful statue every year with our heart.

during these days people try to forget all their anxieties and enemities and
they bow their heads to establish peace and harmony in front of goddess Durga.
On the first day, special kind of flower is
planted on a sacred place which is brought from the river. People start to
worship Goddess Durga from the same day. Goddess Durga is the symbol of power.
7th day is an important day because 'Phoolpathi' is brought from Gorkha to
Hanuman Dhoka. On the same day guns are fired in Tudikhel. The eighth day is
called 'Maha Asthami' and from this day, different animals are sacrificed. On the
ninth day, a great feast is organized in each and every house because
everywhere according to their own capacity, a special feast is organized. Tenth

About
'Durga Puja' people have different stories It is said that 'Durga Bhawani'
killed once demon named 'Mahisashur'. On the tenth day of Dashain, it is also
said during the truth age king Ram killed Ravana and to mark victory over him
the day is celebrated. Whatever stories are there, it's important to maintain
peace and harmony in the society.
Children
are very fond of celebrating pooja and they have precious moments. But from economic
point of view, people are forced to borrow money to celebrate Dashain. After
festival, they live in grief and sorrow as they find themselves in debt. Seniors
play cards, take alcohol, which affects society very much. During the festival,
economic burden for the people can be seen, which is curse to the people.
Finally,
'Durga Puja' is the most important festival of Hindus. People forget all their
anxieties, troubles and try to bring peace and harmony in society. It is the
festival to renew relations, to exchange happiness, which should be encouraged.
Religious Tolerance
Religion must be originated to serve mankind.
There are many religions in the world. But religious harmony is exercised where
people of different religion share mutual understanding and avoid committing
religious violence.
In religious tolerance people work together
by respecting each one's religion. It is a matter of fact that each religion
has its own importance. And there are social norms and values in the world to
live in peace and prosperity. But people are intolerate of other religions and
lots of blood has already shaded in the name of religion. As a result, people
are after the blood of others in the world.
Why
do we fight? What do you achieve by killing so many lives? If we want to rule
over other religions, we will only insult god, because God says, "All
religions are originated from me and end in me."
A
beautiful society can not be imagined without it. It gides and help people to
live together for the progress of mankind. Without it, we can not accelerate
development of the country. We will always live in scarcity and hunger. It is
against humanity, peace and progress.
At religious preaching,
peace and harmony, people's welfare, love, respect are taught but we forget 'Universal
Brotherhood'. It's high time to understand religious tolerance. To live
peacefully without harming, others should be highly respected. In religious
tolerance, we observe one's religion without disturbing others.
Importance of Cottage Industry In Nepal
An
industry based on local resources having less skilled manpower and investment
is below 500000 is called a cottage industry.
Cottage
industry can be categorized like poultry farming, fishery, hatchery, carpet
industry and so on. In cottage industry, bamboo, cane work can also be included.
It
is very important because it generates employment, helps to use local
resources, helps to generate income, supplies resources to small and large
scale industries and helps to raise the living standard of people.
A country like Nepal , where there is less capital,
skilled manpower, less developed science and technology, less skill, a cottage
industry can be suitable to run. It brings the foundation for economic
development of a country. It ultimately leads towards economic prosperity.
Finally, cottage industry is very important
and it should be given priority. Undoubtedly, cottage industry can be proved a
plinth to erect the multistory building of Nepalese economy.
Superstitions
Superstitions
are neither scientific nor general truth. Yet, they are noted in our culture but
it is followed in our society blindly. It is the evil of our society which only
hinders the development of our society.
Superstitions
have done immense damage to mankind. There are many blind beliefs which are
harmful, deadly and disadvantageous. It's woman's belief that a black cat
crossing the road is believed to be ill – ominous, no mater how many times a journey
is postponed. If people see a woman or girl carrying an empty vessel, it is
considered as bad luck.
Widows
are taken as witches and people think that girls shouldn't be educated and
should be married soon. Even educated people practise superstitions. Certain
numbers are considered unlucky. Many leaders, politician's etc. believe in
fortune and they are seen harboring our such evil thoughts.
Are
we influenced by superstitions? Obviously not. Are we not fooling ourselves by
believing in faith – the silly thing? Of course, yes. How can we get rid of
superstitions? It is by awareness. Let us realize that we live in modern world
and let's make sincere efforts to be reasonable, wise and educated for that
purpose. Let educated people lead from front and other ordinary people will
certainly follow them.
Superstition is the evil of society. Those
people who avoid hard work and their sincere efforts are fond of such things, it
hinders progress. So we should avoid it.
Rainy Season
Water
is very important element to living beings. In absence of water, we cannot imagine
life of plants, human beings and animals.
It is the rainy season which brings rainfall during summer. When
rainfall comes, the earth starts to change into greenery. It is not liked by people
in cities but for farmers it's important because crops depend on good rainy
season. It brings hope and happiness to the farmers.
It
is favourable as well as unfavourable because heavy rain may cause catastrophe
like flood, landslide, resulting in destruction of life and property. On the
otherside it gives life to each living beings of the earth.
Our
Nepal
is an agricultural country and most farmers depend on rainfall. So, sufficient
rainfall means better crops and enough production of food stuff, plenty of
fodder for cattle, ultimately resulting in economic improvement. Rainfall is
also boon for nature. Even faded land may convert into green forest increasing natural
beauty.
It
is the source of medical herbs, too. It supplies timber, slippers for railway
lines and helps to earn money exporting agricultural and forest resources.
The
present position of forest
of Nepal is critical. The
main reason for deforestation by human activities. Due to this, natural beauty
is disturbed and catastrophe is originated. The potentiality of land is
diminishing resulting in unproductivity.
It
can be saved through education. It provides knowledge, awareness to people and
they can feel their responsibility towards nature. In this time, people are raising
their voice in favour of nature preservation. Plantation in terrace land, slopes is being
carried out. People are hopeful to solve deforestation and to save mankind and
human race.
Finally, rainy season is very important and
we can't see any life without rain.
Social Service
It
is a very nice proverb "service to man is service to god." It is good
to live for oneself but better to live for others. Social service is need of
time where many perople are involved into fire of own selfisness. Literary
sacrifices and benevolence are better things to be brought in society for free
life. We should be conscious for social responsibility. There are very few
people in the world nowadays who live by working for others. The social service
gives us satisfaction and develops fraternity in society.
What
good will this education do if we cannot serve men? Our country is a country of
villages. By serving villagers, we can serve our country. Women literacy, freedom,
equality and participating in others activities are greatest need of our
country. Our democracy is running into difficulty, if we don' educate our
masses, we will be no where. During long vacations, students should spread out
in the village and teach villagers.
Community
service are very important nowadays. They can operate with their presence in
villages and accelerate peace and progress. It will be a great joy of
participating in big undertakings. They will develop such useful qualities as
beam work of co-operation. They will learn moral lesson of dignity of labour. Social
workers can teach people a sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
To serve for others without personal greed
and interest is called social service. If we work for others, it gives
pleasure, satisfaction and honour. So it should be made compulsory in our
life.
Influence of T.V

sight. TV is a scientific achievement where we see talking, playing, singing
etc. image in distant. The credit goes to Baird who discovered such a marvelous
discovery to serve mankind.
T.V.
has 2 sides of coin. In one side there are various programs through which

influence the attitude, behaviour of man. Its positive influence can be
discussed below:
